Bib Collection & Timing

Runners provide an estimated 10K finish time or verified time from a World Athletics-recognized race during registration, or participate in the promotional run time trial to determine wave assignment:

  • Wave A: Sub-40 minutes (elite/fast runners)
  • Wave B: 40-50 minutes
  • Wave C: 50+ minutes

Promotional run participants are assigned based on their recorded time trial performance (RFID-timed). Waves are designated by letters and colors, with faster runners in earlier waves to reduce congestion and enhance competition (World Athletics Rule 240.4). Assignments are final upon confirmation.

Yes, there will be a start wave in Open 10K race category given as per the timing certificate attached by you at the time of registration.

Bibs for the main event and promotional run must be collected in person at the Bib Collection Expo with a valid government-issued photo ID (World Athletics Rule 22.1). Failure to collect bibs results in forfeiture of participation and no refund.

  • Participants must wear their assigned 2026 running number bib and RFID timing chip on the front of their running vest for both the main event and promotional run (World Athletics Rule 24.7)
  • Tampering, mutilating, folding, or damaging bibs/chips, wearing incorrect bibs, or interchanging bibs results in disqualification and potential exclusion from future editions (World Athletics Rule 7.2)
  • Only confirmed participants with valid 2026 bibs access the race route. Incorrect or missing bibs lead to removal by course security
  • For 10K and promotional run, incorrect timing chip usage results in no official finish time, certificate, or prize eligibility (World Athletics Rule 24.8)
  • RFID technology and timing mats ensure accurate tracking for wave assignments and post-race analysis
